For the artists observe prompt, my drawing of the Joker fits in that category well. I just recently finished the drawing after about a month and a half of work! It is amazing what you can do with just a regular pencil and a piece of paper, and that is exactly what I used. By building layers I created value and contour lines, which I use often in my art. The hair was the most difficult part for me but I'm glad I took on a challenge and overcame it! For the artists feel prompt, I'm working on a painting of two trees, one blue and one red. I think this relates to artists feel because the red and blue are opposites and remind me of bipolarness or being indecisive. Although I am not bipolar, I'm pretty indecisive in most situations. I'm not used to painting so this is different for me, along with using color. I blended a lot of darks and lights to create layers also! Last, the Ted Talk video was very cool to me and I would like to do something like that! I really loved what he said about limits, "We need to first be limited in order to become limitless."
I decided to continue using paint and paint the front cover of my sketchbook! I based this off of a picture I found on the Internet. I did a lot of layering and strategicly placed different sized dots throughout the artwork to create stars. I tried to blend or make the colors flow as best as I could, but it was a little tricky. The goal was for it to look like a galaxy or nebula of some sort. I'm not finished yet, I still need to add more dots, details, and finish it off with a little glitter and Mod Podge. I really like how this one turned out and I'm excited to move onto the next piece of art! We also decorated some pancakes and I tried to make mine as symmetrical as possible, but it was tricky! It was fun though! I've decided to start drawing The Joker. He has kind of a dark creepy look on his face and I'm trying to create a lot of depth in his eyes. I'm just using a pencil to create my drawing. I'm including a lot of value to increase the realism and make parts if the drawing come to life. I also have some contour lines in there and I might add a little color to the hair, eyes, mouth, or all three. I think I need to fix the shape of his face on the left side and work on the mouth. I finally finished my drawing of the half skeleton half normal girl. I spent about a week and a half to 2 weeks on this I think! I'm really really happy with how it turned out. Using just a pencil and paper is my favorite way of creating art. I did a lot of shading (value) and contrast. I worked really hard on making it look as realistic as possible. This is definetly one of my favorite drawings.
